These cute stud earrings are made by drawing, cutting, heating and shrinking a sheet of shrink art plastic!

Here I’ll be sharing:
What you’ll need
- Sanded or frosted shrink art plastic sheet
- 2x earring stud posts & backings
- Coloured pencils or markers
- Glue (eg. craft glue, super glue or resin)
- A pair of scissors
- An oven or hot sandwich press
- Baking paper and foil tray
- A pair of winter gloves – to protect your hands from heat
- A hard-cover book or notepad – or anything hard and flat
How to make the earrings
Before you begin
If you’re using an oven, pre-heat it to 180~200 degrees celcius. If you’re using a hot sandwich press, you can turn it on when you’re done cutting.
Wear winter gloves when taking the charms out of your heating equipment to avoid burning your hands.
Quick guide
To make hand-drawn stud earrings out of shrink plastic:
- Trace/Draw the illustration and colour it in using markers or coloured pencils.

- Heat it in the oven or sandwich press for about 30~60 seconds until it shrivels and shrinks.
