🥈 Ikspiari – Shopping mall worth a detour in Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵

Ikspiari is a large themed shopping mall in Chiba (in the Tokyo Disney Resort area). There are over a hundred shops selling fashion, accessories and household goods, as well as restaurants, cafes and bars.

Even if you’re not into shopping, it’s a fun place to explore as there are several zones that have their own aesthetic theme. My favourite are Museum Lane that have a Mediterranean feel, Gracious Square that have a fantasy castle feel, and Chef’s Row that has a secret garden feel.

I could spend hours just walking around / sitting down with a coffee enjoying the aesthetics and atmosphere; it joins up with the Disney Resort area so the fun atmosphere covers a lot of space. (You can tell from my photos I was there from daytime ’til dark, and that was without shopping :D)

Located next to Maihama Station and Disney Land, it requires a bit of a walk from Maihama Station, but it’s a nice walk that has a boulevard feel with all the lined trees.

Most shops are open until 9pm, and restaurants ’til 11pm, so you can visit after your DisneyLand or DisneySea trip for dinner. As for me, I once decided to save myself $80 Disney Land entry fee, and spent a day at Ikspiari instead :P.

If you’re in Tokyo I’d recommend you visit to enjoy the pretty townscape and have a meal.

Next time I’ll definitely have lunch at the open terrace with a garden pagola view in Chef’s Row; It’s a 🥈(=worth a detour) on #myrevisitlist .
