Making White Floral Earrings with Shrink Art Plastic

Let me share how I made these white floral dangle earrings with shrink art plastic. 😊

The Making

It all started from a sheet of frosted plastic.

Flower shapes were cut out, and holes were punched for attaching jewelry fixings.

Each piece was heated, one at a time, to make them shrink and thicken.

In 3 seconds they cool and harden so…

While still hot, flowers were shaped by pressing them in between a bead and a sponge.

Leaves were formed by hand with winter gloves on to protect hands from the heat.

Seed beads and head pins were added to turn white plastic pieces into flowers.

Once the design was planned out…

…they were assembled into dangle earrings.

Two complimenting designs this time.😊

I can’t choose one over the other, so I wear them both as matching-but-mismatched pairs.
